ACT Biography

Typhani Janelle Russo

Typhani is a 2007 graduate of Penn State Altoona with a degree in Integrative Arts and Dance. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Education at Saint Francis University. In addition to her ACT credits, Typhani has performed at Cresson Lake Playhouse in The World Goes Round and Gypsy, in the ensembles of Pippin and Peter Pan with the Tyrone Community Players, played the role of Sleeping Beauty in Unhappily Ever After at Bishop Guilfoyle High School, and in Broadway Babies with the Blair County Arts Foundation. Typhani is a professional model and performer with the Harman Agency. She has appeared in a national commercial and in New York City at the New World Stages Theatre with the Broadway Artists Allliance and had the opportunity to perform at the the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. She has also performed in Orlando, Canada and six countries of Europe including Disneyland, Paris and Notre Dame Cathedral. She is the reigning Pennsylvania's Perfect Miss and Miss Heart Inspired and Beautiful. Typhani is the founder and chairperson for the "Queenz for Kidz" Crusade and the "Out of the Darkness of Cruelty and Into The Light of Compassion" Campaign as well as being the PA Coordinator for Love Letters, Random Cards of Kindness. She is extremely involved in community events including: The Arthritis Foundation, Easter Seals, American Cancer Society, The Dream Factory, The Miracle League, Central PA Humane Society, Aid for Animals-Laws for Paws and numerous others.
