Yes, “Dracula” has officially taken residence in the historic Mishler Theatre, thanks to the few but mighty ACTers who braved the cold, snow and ice during load-in last Sunday. Performances promise to be a great deal of fun as we raise the dead and raise all sort of questions … Is that really a dead cat Tom Coy has to eat onstage ? Will Courtney Sherkel suffer from coffin claustrophobia ? How many ACTers will cheer when Dracula snaps a certain someone’s neck and hurls him to the floor ? Tickets are starting to sell nicely and the show’s going great, although we do still have work to accomplish … especially since our Tech Sunday had the audacity to fall on Superbowl Sunday (yes Tom Liszka and Rich Volpe, we will quit by 5:30, whether we’re done or not!). If you’re available throughout the end of the week and especially during the day Saturday, we can find you a project to help with so don’t be shy. So come help us get ready for bloodshed!

And next week, after the curtain comes down on our Saturday night performance, all ACTers, friends and family are invited to party with the “Dracula” cast and crew who will be karaoke-ing and dancing their fangs off with DJ Lynn Brown from Baby Boomers. Cost is $15 per person and includes beer, wine, soda and a buffet from Michael’s Café. We do need advance numbers, however, so please RSVP to this e-mail or call the ACT office at 943-4357 by Wednesday, February 7.
