All My SonsBy Arthur MillerDirected by Dick Caram ACT PRESENTS "ALL MY SONS" FEBRUARY 12-15
Altoona Community Theatre will present the classic Arther Miller drama "All My Sons" Thursday through Sunday, February 12-15, 2009 at the historic Mishler Theatre in downtown Altoona. Performances will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Originally produced on Broadway in 1947, "All My Sons" is a searing family drama centered around a father's possible involvement in the manufacturing of defective airplane parts that caused the deaths of American soldiers during World War II. The show received two Tony awards for author Arthur Miller and director Elia Kazan, to whom the play is dedicated. The show has been revived in New York twice, most recently in 2008 with a production starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson, and Katie Holmes. ACT's production is directed by Dick Caram, who directed last season's production of "Wit" and features performances by Steve Helsel as Joe Keller, Karen Volpe as Kate Keller, Sam Wagner as Chris Keller, Liz Carey as Ann Deever, Brian Metzgar as George Deever, Eric Wolf as Dr. Jim Bayliss, Tara Enedy as Sue Bayliss, Josh Way as Frank Lubey, Rachel Volpe as Lydia Lubey, and Hunter Musser as Bert. The production is stage managed by Valerie Stratton and Sarah Slep and features sets designed by David McCoy, costumes designed by Michele McGowan, lights designed by Chase Fiore, and sound designed by Brian McConnell. Reserved tickets for "All My Sons" are $15 plus box office fees for all performances and can be purchased by stopping by or calling the Mishler box office at 814-944-9434. Box office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12 noon - 6 p.m. and before all performances. |
